We took time to understand the business objectives and the potential market opportunity. We leveraged the Mavens & Mavericks network and relationships across the entrepreneurial ecosystem to promote the initial pilot, gaining first hand customer feedback. We then identified the appropriate marketing channels to ‘reach entrepreneurs where entrepreneurs go’ resulting in a highly targeted integrated marketing plan.

The launch plan focused on startup ecosystem influencers and entrepreneurship events to raise awareness for the new platform. We introduced the client to our network of ‘Mavens & Mavericks’ to ensure high-calibre collaborators promoted and used the platform. Innovative demo experiences were proposed for major entrepreneurship events including Slush.

By forging the right relationships internally, this platform — a first-time extension of their 1:1 consultancy model — was integrated into the organisation’s global brand building objectives and positioned within the firm’s digital and innovation strategy.

The platform achieved its acquisition targets within the pilot period during 2018. Successful internal engagement and buy-in resulted in the platform’s scope being broadened beyond entrepreneurs to target middle market business leaders in 2019.
